Fort Smith,
Arkansas, the home of Rheem’s Air Conditioning Division
headquarters , is a town of approximately 80,000 people,
tucked at the Southern end of the Ozark Mountains. Although
it is conveniently located for the outdoor enthusiast,
interstates 40 and 540 and a new passenger airport terminal
built in 2002 have made it easy to get in and out of the
city for business and pleasure via several major airlines.
Consistently ranking among cities with the lowest costs
of living in the nation, Fort Smith is home to many other
industrial players. The University of Arkansas at Ft.
Smith offers facilities for higher education and helps
provide cultural opportunities along with the Little Theatre,
Ft. Smith Symphony and the Western Arkansas Ballet. The
city’s twenty-seven nationally recognized public
schools also make it an excellent place to raise a family. |
