Senior Product Engineer
(Residential Air Conditioning Design)

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for product development/management for residential air conditioning. This person will provide technical support and corrective action to the factory and field. The person in this position will assist manufacturing departments with tooling and process selection. This position reviews and has responsibility for accuracy and completeness of drawings and specifications. This person evaluates and implements cost reduction projects.
Skills:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a preference for Mechanical Engineering. Masters degree is preferred. At least 7 years experience in HVAC design preferred. Experience in refrigerant systems design, air-moving equipment design, sheet metal part design, and project management required. Good word processing and spreadsheet computer skills required. Good written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills as well as problem solving and analytical skills required. Experience in electric resistance heater design, plastic part design, and CAD preferred.

Full-time salaried employees are eligible to participate in the plan. Coverage begins on the first day of the first full pay period after commencement of employment.
Membership in a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) is available at some locations.
Dental Care Our plan pays 100% reasonable and customary charges for Diagnostic and Preventive services with no applicable deductible.
Basic Services are paid at 80% with no applicable deductible.
Major(Services) are paid at 60% following the deductible.
Life Insurance Your basic life insurance which equals your base annual salary rounded to the next $500 is paid by Rheem. An additional one or two times the basic amount is available to you at group rates.
Disability Our disability program consists of Sick Leave benefits, Accident and Sickness insurance and Long Term Disability coverage.
Flexible Spending Accounts These accounts allow you to pay for unreimbursed medical expenses and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis.
Paid Time Off Vacation - the amount of time depends on your years of service. You may take one week of your first year’s vacation after 6 months of employment.
Holidays - generally 11 paid holidays are granted per year. Holidays are determined by the location where you work.|
Personal Absence - up to 5 paid days in a calendar year for such reasons as family illness, or urgent personal business.
Financial Security Deferred Profit Sharing - The company’s contributions are based on the Air Conditioning Division’s performance. You may make pre-tax or after-tax contributions up to the IRS maximum. You choose where to invest the contributions among several investment options.
